The Wilson Combat Division 77 Project 1 pistol is advertised to have 42% less recoil than a standard EDC X9 pistol. This is apparently achieved primarily thanks to the ported slide and barrel. The recoil impulses of both pistols were measured in a device called a Dynamic Recoil Analysis System (DRAS). If you want to learn how that device works, you can find more information on Wilson Combat’s website.
The Project 1 pistol is chambered in 9x19mm and is fed from 18-round magazines that have custom Project 1 base pads. The 5” stainless steel bull barrel is flush cut, fluted and features Reliability Enhancing lockup. The Advanced RPG Guide Rod is longer which increases the recoil spring reliability and longevity, and has a reduced diameter that allows easier removal and installation.
The stainless steel Tri-Top slide has unique front and rear serrations and is fitted with a fiber optic front sight. The Project 1 pistols feature a new optic mounting system that allows easy transition between RMR, RMSC, and DeltaPoint Pro footprints. To install an optic of any of the mentioned footprints, you’ll simply need to use the correct pins in the mounting cut. The cover plate of the optics cut comes with a dovetailed rear sight.
The Division 77 Project 1 pistol also features a flat trigger with a pull weight of 3.5 – 4.5 lbs, ambidextrous safety, G10 TRAK Starburst grips and TRAK frontstrap/backstrap treatment, The primary finish of the pistol is black Armor-Tuff. The copper-colored parts have a PVD finish. The Project 1 pistol has an overall length of 8.7” and weighs 33.8oz.
The base price of the Wilson Combat Division 77 Project 1 pistol is $3,995. A version shipped in a custom metal case and with a challenge coin costs $4,295. These pistols come with three 18-round magazines. The company guarantees a 1” accuracy at 25 yards.
