WATCHTOWER’s New BRIDGER Rifle

WATCHTOWER introduces the BRIDGER, a 7mm PRC bolt-action rifle that pays homage to legendary frontiersman Jim Bridger. Promising to set a new standard for precision and reliability, WATCHTOWER says the BRIDGER is designed with cutting-edge technology, including a unique barrel inspired by the Fibonacci Sequence, which, in mathematics, refers to a series in which each number is the sum of the two preceding. I had not realized the connection, but get a load of this barrel!

The BRIDGER features a stainless steel and titanium hybrid 5R-rifled 1:8 twist straight profile 22” barrel designed for rigidity and elevated harmonic performance while remaining durable and lightweight for those long treks into the wilderness. The unique dissipation system optimizes heat management, providing consistent performance during extended use. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24 and fitted with a 3-port titanium muzzle brake. The image below shows a cutaway of the titanium sleeve, revealing the design of the stainless steel barrel beneath.

Every part of the BRIDGER rifle speaks to its craftsmanship, from the lightened 416R stainless steel magnum long-action to the McMillan Mountain Tracker carbon fiber stock it’s nestled in. Speaking of the stock, pay close attention as the aesthetic features a map hearkening back to the days of the Oregon Trail. Precision milling and hand-fitted components are designed to work together seamlessly with meticulous attention to detail that WATCHTOWER guarantees to operate smoothly and reliably, even in the harshest weather conditions.

With the devil in the details, the BRIDGER takes things the distance with a crisp 2.5 lbs Timney Hunter Elite single-stage trigger, Hawkins’ Precision bottom metal and magazine, and QD flush cups. Of course, what is the point of offering this level of strength in construction without an industry-leading H-235 Cerakote finish? Seeking to exceed the demands of skilled marksmen while honoring Jim Bridger’s rich legacy of frontier exploration, the BRIDGER weighs in at 6.8 lbs without a magazine, making it a rifle you can take anywhere.

For those looking for a unique and premium firearm that merges tradition with modern innovation, the WATCHTOWER Firearms BRIDGER may be a hunting rifle you’ll appreciate for years. If you’re at SHOT Show 2025 later this month, check out the BRIDGER and a host of new high-end firearms at WATCHTOWER’s booth #72226. The BRIDGER will be available shortly after for a suggested retail price of $6,499.

This is more than just a simple hunting rifle as the price suggests. It’s for those looking for something more. I’m extremely interested in learning more about the barrel design, and just as interested in hearing your thoughts in the comments below.
