Streamlight Nano Light II: Mighty Mini LED
Streamlight, well-known for their weapon-mounted lights and other tactical flashlights, has just introduced the LED equivalent of a deep-cover backup gun. The new Streamlight Nano Light II is a very small, compact flashlight, but it packs a lot of power.

The specs on this pocket-sized light—scratch that, it’s a change pocket-sized light—are impressive. The Nano Light II is 2.2 inches long, and only a half-inch wide. It weighs 0.6 ounces (add another 0.2 ounces for an AAAA battery, which is included). The body is made of machined aircraft-grade aluminum with a black anodized finish. The white LED has a 50,000-hour lifetime, says the manufacturer, and is impervious to shock, unlike the fragile incandescent bulbs from the flashlights of old. The Nano Light II is waterproof, rated to IPX7 standard and also drop-resistant to 2 meters. It should last you through years of rough usage in all weather conditions.
To turn the light on or off, the head has a rotating-style switch for easy single-hand usage; there’s also a snap hook included with the light to make it easy to detach it from a lanyard, belt loop, zipper pull, etc. with a single hand.
When in use, the LED pumps out 20 lumens/120 candela at a beam distance of 22 meters (72 feet). That single AAAA battery will power the light for one hour of run time, says Streamlight.
All pretty decent specs for a mini light like this, and the best part is, the asking price is only $17, with the light carrying Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
“Having a high-performance, reliable flashlight that fits easily on a keychain offers law enforcement, tactical, military personnel, and outdoor enthusiasts a perfect light for a wide variety of uses,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight’s Chief Revenue Officer. “It’s an ideal complement to our larger, task-oriented flashlights, while also useful for everyday tasks such as guiding your key into a lock at night, lighting your way in a dark parking lot, or when walking the dog after dark.”
