Smith & Wesson Releases New CSX E-Series Pistols

Smith & Wesson has unveiled its new CSX E-Series, the next evolution in the CSX line. Just three years ago, in January of 2022, Smith & Wesson introduced the aluminum alloy frame CSX micro-compact pistols to the public but has since been hard at work refining the design and updating the feature set to bring us this latest development in their concealed carry platform. Let’s take a closer look at the new CSX E-Series.

The Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series will retain its aluminum alloy frame while featuring what the company promises to be “significant design upgrades that are hard to overlook.” The new 9mm micro-compacts will now be available with a 3.1” or 3.6” barrel configuration, and both will include a 12, 15, and 17-round magazine in the box, with 10-round compliant versions also available.

CSX E-Series pistols ship optics-ready with an RMS-C footprint, which is also compatible with the Holosun 507K. To complement this feature, CSX E-Series pistols will also be equipped with Smith & Wesson’s ClearSight cut, strategically designed to divert gasses away from the optic lens, providing the shooter with an unobstructed view.

Smith & Wesson built versatility into the CSX E-Series design, utilizing a new modular grip adapter that allows users to size down the frame for deeper concealment or go larger for enhanced handling and increased capacity. The front strap features a larger surface area for better grip, and the new trigger boasts a straighter and lighter pull with a clean break and short reset to improve shootablity and accuracy. Additionally, the CSX E-Series features interchangeable backstraps, ambidextrous controls, standard white-dot sights, and a flat-black finished frame.

All four Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series variants are available now for an MSRP of $699.00.

Smith & Wesson says the new CSX E-Series is an advanced evolution of a classic platform, making it the perfect companion for those who demand more from their concealed carry. I’ve enjoyed the feel of my aluminum alloy frame in the full-size Performance Center M&P 9 M2.0 Metal Carry Comp, and I expect more of the same from this CSX E-Series micro-compact.
