[SHOT 2025] Scoping Out Meprolight’s Range of New Releases!

There is nothing better at SHOT Show than turning up to a booth and getting a great run down on a whole host of cool new products. Meprolight treated me to the low down on a whole range of optics ranging from small red dots all the way up to variable power scopes. Let’s dive in.

MPO Series

The MPO series has new entries with the MPO PRO-S, MPO PRO-DS, MPO-S, MPO- DF, MPO-F and MPO PRO-F.

The Mepro MPO Pro-S is a closed emitter pistol sight which uses a standard CR1632 battery, with a 2.5 years of battery life. It uses a RMSc Footprint. It features a selectable three-segment reticle system (3 MOA dot, 33 MOA bullseye, and 33 MOA ring).

The MPO-F features a user selectable 3 segment reticle, 10 Day/2 night vision settings, is powered by a CR1632 giving 20,000+ hours battery life (on setting 5) and it also has automatic and manual brightness controls, a shake awake functions and uses an RMR Footprint.

The smallest of the new sights, the MPO-DF is described by Meprolight as a ‘cost-effective optic which punches above its weight.’ It has a 3.5 MOA Red Dot Reticle, uses CR1632 batteries to achieve a 15,000+ hours battery life, like its bigger brother it has automatic and manual brightness control and mounts on an RMR footprint.

MCO PRO

The MCO PRO is a closed emitter optic with a Picatinny mount which can be used on rifles, carbines, and shotguns. It features a user-selectable 3-segment SpeedRing reticle (2 MOA Dot, 2/68 SpeedRing, SpeedRing with 1.5 Mil holdover dots). Like the MPO-F it has 10 Day/2 night vision settings, is powered by a CR1632 giving 20,000+ hours battery life (on setting 5) and it also has automatic and manual brightness controls, a shake awake functions. It comes with a recoil block for alignment and zero hold.

MEPRO TRU-VISION™ SR MIL-STD Red Dot Optic

The Mepro Tru-Vision™ SR MIL-SPEC red dot sight features dual selectable reticles -2/65 MOA Speed Rina or 2 MOA dot. What Meprolight describe as a micro-chassis protects the electronics from damage. It is shockproof, and waterproof. It weighs in at 10 oz. And is powered by a single CR123. It has 4- or 8-hour sleep modes as well as full on Shake-Awake for LE and home defense use.

Its dimensions are 2.8″ x 2.2″ x 2.6″ while the optic window is 29x20mm. It can be used in conjunction with magnifiers like Meprolight’s MMX3.

M22 PRO

Here’s what Meprolight has to say about the self-illuminated M22 PRO, an update on the classic M22:

“M22 PRO features a factory-installed light module that eliminates reticle washout and enhances low-light performance. With cutting-edge fiber-optic illumination for daylight visibility and premium Swiss-manufactured tritium vials for nighttime clarity, this sight operates seamlessly in any lighting condition-no batteries required (unless you want it). Tritium glows at a certain brightness level 24/7/365. Meprolight engineers designed a battery powered mechanism to enhance the reticle in extremely low light. The single CR2032 battery provides over 50,000 hours of use. The auto- adjuster reacts to ambient light to maintain a crisp reticle in the worst conditions.”

Meprolight also explained that the transition between fiber-optic and tritium systems is instantaneous and automatic.

Meprolight say the M22 PRO is built to withstand hard environments and rough use. It is compatible with night vision devices and magnifiers. It has a ten-year warranty on its tritium luminance.

The M22 PRO weighs in at 9.2 oz (260g) and is 3.9″ x 1.9″ x 2.7″ (99 x 50 x 68 mm) with a display window of 1″ x 0.8″ (25 x 20 mm). It also features 2 reticle colors – Red and Amber.

MVO

Last but not least, Meprolight’s exciting new line of variable power optics has been launched. The MVO is available in low power, mid power and high power variants. All three are first focal plane scopes with Milliradians (MRAD) reticles.

MVO 1-8X28 – LOW POWER [LPVO]:

“The MVO 1-8×28 is a versatile low power variable optic for dynamic, on-the-move engagements with a wide field of view. Daylight bright dual color illumination makes them suitable for various scenarios, from close-quarters engagements.”

MVO 3-18X44 – MID POWER [MPVO]:

“The MVO 3-18×44 scope is highly versatile for long-range shooting, offering a broad magnification range. The lower power allows for clear sighting of targets at close to medium distances, while the higher power is ideal for engaging distant targets. This makes the scope well-suited for a variety of hunting and target shooting situations. Additionally, the 44mm objective lens enhances light gathering, improving visibility in low-light conditions. Overall, it provides the flexibility to shoot accurately across different ranges depending on the scenario.”

MVO 6-36X56 – HIGH POWER [HPVO]:

“The MVO™ 6-36×56 scope is typically chosen for long-range shooting due to its wide magnification range, allowing for precise aiming at both close and extremely distant targets, while the large 56mm objective lens provides excellent light gathering capability in low-light conditions, making it ideal for precision rifle competitions or the professional marksman.”

So if you’re in the market for a pistol, rifle or shotgun optics Meprolight have numerous options to meet your needs be it competition, hunting or self defense. More details at www.meprolight.com.
