[SHOT 2025] New Revolvers from Diamondback

Diamondback have introduced a couple of new products Diamondback SDR (Self Defense Revolver) in both 9mm as a snub nose and .357 magnum in a three-inch barrel.

The SDR series has a 45 degree target crown machined into the muzzle, which Diamondback says helps protect the rifling and preserves accuracy.

Designed with concealed carry and self defense in mind the revolvers have low profile fiber-optic sights which offers a decent contrast and helps the shooter align the sights on target faster. The new 9mm 2in SDR, and 3in .357 Mag / .38 SPL is available on polished stainless steel and the 2in SDR in .357 Mag / .38 SPL is also now available in a Black Nitride finish.

Both revolvers have 6 round chambers with a quick release push-button cylinder release for ease of cleaning. In their announcement of the launch of the new revolvers Diamondback said:

“The revolvers come standard with a fixed orange fiber optic front sight, dovetail fiber optic green rear sight, and a fully captured crane link and cylinder assembly. The SDR hits the mark with its stainless-steel barrel and solid forged stainless-steel frame. Both SDR models come standard with rubber Hogue grips for a solid feel when shooting. The 9mm SDR will accept proprietary moon clips. Diamondback partnered with TK Custom and the gun ships with three TK Custom moon clips in the box.”
