[SHOT 2025] Griffin Armament New PCCs and Silencer

Griffin Armament had several new products on display at SHOT Show 2025. The Optimus 6 silencer is designed for the 6mm ARC and is the first 3D-printed silencer from Griffin. They also showed off their new Mk2 PCC.

Optimus 6

The Optimus 6 suppressor was designed in response to the success of the 6mm ARC, but it can handle all 6mm calibers, including 6mm Max and 6mm Creedmoor. The construction of the can is very unique, with a printed baffle core wrapped in 17-4 stainless steel. It is a low-backpressure design so it will not cause issues with semi-auto hosts, but it still has a major emphasis on flash reduction while staying hearing safe. It will come with three mount options from the factory, including HUB, taper, and Griffin’s Dual Lok system. The Optimus 6 will be shipping in four to six weeks with a retail price under $1,000.

Mk2 9mm PCC

Another major release for 2025 is the Mk2 PCC in 9mm. This AR-pattern blowback pistol caliber carbine feeds from Colt-pattern magazines produced by Metalform, and the purchaser can choose a 10-, 20-, or 32-round magazine to ship with the gun. Purchasers can also opt for various furniture color pancakes. The recoil buffer is made of solid brass for extra weight which helps tame the recoil.

One interesting internal upgrade over the original Colt 9mm guns is the feed ramp. Griffin created an improved design that feeds smoothly from both the left and right sides of the magazine. The PCC also includes ambidextrous controls, including the safety, charging handle, and bolt catch lever. Barrel length options include 4.5 inches, 9 inches, and 16 inches. The sub-16-inch guns are available now as pistols with arm braces, and SBR versions are coming soon. MRSP for all models starts at $1,499.

Other products of interest include a new brown anodized finish for their guns and another suppressor. The brown color option will not add any additional cost over black anodizing. Also, keep an eye out for a new Ultralight 46 multi-caliber can coming soon (at a price point under $700).
