[SHOT 2025] Franklin Armory Binary SCAR Trigger, F22 and OPS-11

At SHOT Show 2025, Franklin Armory released a binary trigger for the FN SCAR family of rifles, the F22 Ruger 10/22 pattern rifle and pistol that will come with a binary trigger installed, the OPS-11 SBR and pistol added to their Osprey Defense piston-driven AR-15 series, and the 22EZ binary trigger for the Ruger 10/22. Let’s take a quick look at each of these new Franklin Armory products.

SKR-C1 Binary SCAR Trigger

The new Franklin Armory SKR-C1 trigger is a drop-in product compatible with both 5.56 and 308 civilian SCAR variants. Like other Franklin binary triggers, the release shot can be canceled by keeping the trigger pulled and moving the selector out of the binary mode. The MSRP is $499.99.

F22 Rifle & Pistol

Franklin Armory will soon start selling complete Ruger 10/22 pattern rifles and pistols that will come equipped with a binary trigger. The F22 rifles and pistols will have 7075 aluminum receivers and have the following features:

“Additional features of the Franklin Armory F22 rifle include: Sixteen-inch fluted bull barrel, Hogue stock, rugged polymer trigger housing with extended magazine release, integrated top rail for optics, and a ten-round Ruger® magazine. MSRP for the F22 Rifle is $809.99.Additional features of the Franklin Armory F22 pistol include: Eight-inch tapered barrel, SB22™ Fixed Kit chassis, B5 grip, SB Tactical FS1913™ pistol brace, rugged polymer trigger housing with extended magazine release, integrated top rail for optics, and a ten-round Ruger® magazine. MSRP for the F22 Pistol is $1,089.99.”

OPS-11 SBR and Pistol

The key feature that sets the new Franklin Armory OSP-11 SBR and pistol apart (other than the availability with a binary trigger) is that they feature a patent pending self-regulating short-stroke piston system which does not require adjusting the gas system when installing or removing a suppressor. These firearms will be available chambered in 5.56×45 featuring 11.5” barrels, M-LOK handguards, Franklin Armory’s Triumvir linear-compensating flash suppressors, B5 pistol grips, B5 SOPMOD stocks or SB Tactical SBA5 braces.

The base version of both the OSP-11 SBR and pistol with a tuned semi-auto trigger will have an MSRP of $1,349.99, the binary trigger equipped version will cost $1,539.99 and the upper receiver assemblies will be available separately for $849.99.

22-EZ Binary Trigger for Ruger 10/22

The 22-EZ is a more affordable drop-in cassette binary trigger for the Ruger 10/22. It is essentially their 22-C1 trigger assembled in a polymer housing. With an MSRP of $369.99, this trigger is $100 cheaper than their 22-C1-P trigger that comes in an aluminum housing. If you want an even more affordable option, the 22-C1 has an MSRP of $299.99 but it does not come assembled in a housing.
