Shell Shock Technologies Launches Shell Tech Ammunition Line
Shell Shock Technologies, known for its 2015 introduction of the Nickel Alloy Shell (NAS3) casing, is announcing the company’s next evolution with the unveiling of Shell Tech Ammo, available upon launch in .380 ACP, 9mm, 5.56x45mm NATO, and 300BLK. Shell Shock Technologies has also relaunched its website, offering premium factory-direct ammunition that the company claims will outperform traditional brass cartridges while remaining competitive on pricing.
Built on the NAS3 two-piece shell casing, the goal of Shell Tech Ammunition is to offer superior ammunition for hunting, sports shooting, and personal defense. Produced in a state-of-the-art factory in Calhoun, Georgia, Shell Tech Ammunition weighs up to 30% less than traditional brass case cartridges, offering velocity and accuracy while reducing the weight of a full magazine and shooter fatigue during training, competition, or on duty.
Shell Shock Technologies says that each round from its factory is hand-inspected for consistent performance and reduced risk of failure. The Shell Tech patented design features a unique interior “wave,” pushing the projectile’s ogive into the barrel rifling for repeatable alignment and increased velocity and accuracy.
“After our successful launch in 2015, Shell Shock Technologies shifted its engineering focus from high-volume pistol cases to rifle and military machine gun rounds… While our move into rifle and machine gun calibers caught the attention of defense contractors, we also continued to pursue the American civilian market through the development of the most popular calibers used for personal defense, conceal carry, sport shooting, and hunting. Currently, we are working on the much-asked for 7.62 hunting round to add to our available in-house stock,” explains Peter Foss, CEO of Shell Shock Technologies.
Part of Shell Shock Technologies’ retail strategy is bypassing the middleman and selling directly to the public, where the company intends to pass significant cost savings directly to consumers through its website. Customers will be able to save even more through a Shell Tech Subscription plan, offering up to 15% off subscription-based purchases every one, two, or three months.

I have not personally tested this ammunition, but I wouldn’t mind trying some out and performing some velocity and bench accuracy tests. Lighter-loaded magazines seem like a nice feature if nothing else is being sacrificed. What are your thoughts on Shell Tech Ammunition? Let us know in the comments below.
