New Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF 60 Thermal Riflescopes – Unmatched Precision
Under the motto “Unmatched precision”, Pulsar are releasing three new Thermion 2 LRF 60 thermal riflescopes. The new Thermion 60s are specifically designed for hunting small, fast-moving targets at extended ranges, making them especially effective for pest and predator control. Below is a breakdown of their key features and updates.

Enhanced Optics and Image Quality
The Thermion 2 LRF 60 offers improved image quality, higher detail, and better detection at extended ranges. It features upgraded eyepiece optics with an 8mm exit pupil for improved viewing comfort and situational awareness. The wide-angle design is optimized for high-resolution micro-displays, and the 65mm eye relief ensures safe use with high-caliber rifles, maintaining a setup similar to conventional optics.
Long-Range Precision
The updated optics deliver better clarity at long distances with a higher base magnification, making target acquisition easier. Reduced click values allow for more precise scope adjustments, improving accuracy. Additionally, the built-in laser rangefinder includes ballistic calculations and displays the suggested point of aim directly on the screen, simplifying long-distance targeting.
Model Comparison
The Thermion 2 LRF 60 series includes three models, each tailored for specific needs:
Thermion 2 LRF XG60: Features a 4x base magnification, ideal for long-range shooting. It provides a detailed image even at 32x magnification, making it suitable for hunting small, fast-moving animals like coyotes.Thermion 2 LRF XP60: 3-24x magnification, with a
Technical specifications between the three different Pulsar 60 models. Note that Pulsar has started to use “Sensor NETD” as a standard, as this value otherwise can be artificially adjusted.
Compared to older models, the key advantages of the Thermion 2 LRF 60 Series are
longer detection range, higher optic magnification for better identification of remote objects, enhanced eyepiece with wider exit pupil for a more comfortable viewing, longer eye relief (65mm for improved safety while shooting), Micro-OLED screen with higher resolution 2560 x 2560 pixels for a more detailed picture, smaller click value for increased zeroing & shooting precision, 64GB internal memory which offers enough space for photo & video recordings with higher resolution. Two pieces of rechargeable Pulsar APS3 batteries and the Bluetooth remote control is included in the package.
All models retain the 30 mm tube design for compatibility with standard mounting systems and are equipped with 60 mm focal length optics for long-range applications. If you are looking into buying any of these models, here are the dimensions for selecting mounting rings. I noted that the Spuhr QQP-3602 is used in Pulsar’s marketing material, on a Bergara bolt-action rifle.
At this point, we have no information about the price, but TFB will be back with reviews of two of these models.
