New Calibers For Savage 110 Magpul Scout
Savage Arms revisited the scout rifle concept earlier in 2024 with the launch of the 110 Magpul Scout. Now they’re back at it again, launching new caliber options for that rifle.

Built for versatility
Scout rifles are built to be fast-handling and accurate, combining the practicality of a hunting rifle with the utility of a tactical rifle. Like we told you when these 110 Mapgul Scout models were introduced, “These scout rifle conversions follow the pattern laid out by Jeff Cooper. Lightweight, cut-down and handy, and chambered in a short-action cartridge. Iron sights are standard, with provision for a forward-mounted scope.”
New cartridge choices
The Magpul Scout originally came in the buyer’s choice of 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester or .450 Bushmaster. Now, there’s considerable expansion of the options. Savage has added the choice of 5.56 NATO, 6mm ARC, 300 Blackout and 350 Legend. All of these calibers are available in a standard black finish or a Flat Dark Earth finish, and all can be had in either right-hand or left-hand bolt configuration. They also all come with a 10-round AICS-pattern magazine.
All these new choices will have their fans, but the addition of 5.56 NATO will be particularly appealing to anyone who’s got America’s favorite rifle cartridge stockpiled in their ammo locker. And with deer season running across the U.S.A. right now, 350 Legend will be appealing to hunters in states with straight-wall cartridge laws.
Sticking to the plan
Aside from the new chamberings, the 110 Magpul Scout rifle continues to follow the same pattern as the earlier rifles in this series. Same blueprinted action, same Magpul Hunter stock with adjustable length of pull, same adjustable receiver sight with rear-mounted scout scope rail, same 16.5-inch barrel. And the MSRP is the same too, at $1,099. See more info at Savage’s website here.
