MDT ACC Premier GEN2 Chassis System Now Available For Ruger American

MDT Sporting Goods is expanding the ACC Premier GEN2 Chassis System line by introducing the Ruger American Short Action Right Hand version. In case you haven’t tried it yet, adding a chassis to your bolt-action rifle can significantly enhance its performance and modularity. In general, a quality chassis system improves stability and rigidity, leading to greater accuracy and consistency. I recommend that you take the time to bed your rifle once you fit a new chassis, especially if you think that accuracy is important.

MDT Sporting Goods @ TFB:

Before you ask, the price for the Gen 2 is $999.95 which looks like a decent price cut from the first generation, but perhaps some of that cost is from the shortened front end.

According to the press release here are the key features of the Gen 2:

  • Optimized Forend: A compact 15” forend designed to work seamlessly with shorter competition rifle barrels, offering improved maneuverability and control.
  • Enhanced Stability: A reinforced forend structure and an integrated barricade stop provide a solid, stable shooting platform, making it easier to maintain accuracy when shooting from various positions.
  • Customizable Balance: The chassis supports multiple weight options, allowing shooters to fine-tune their rifle’s balance for faster target transitions and greater comfort.
  • Advanced Comfort: Features such as an adjustable cheek riser and length of pull, combined with the ergonomic MDT Premier Vertical Grip, ensure a personalized fit for every shooter.
  • Quick and Easy Setup: The chassis is designed for a straightforward drop-in installation, requiring no complex modifications to integrate with your rifle.

Specifications:

  • Weight: 4.9 lbs (depending on configuration)
  • Length: 34.4” with included buttstock
  • Materials: Hard anodized 6061 aluminum with a durable Cerakote finish
  • Forend Length: 15”
  • Compatible with AICS magazines
