Leupold Announces The BX-4 Range HD Gen II

Leupold has announced its new BX-4 Range HD Gen II rangefinding binoculars, an ideal combination for hunters who need quick-and-easy ranging while carrying fewer devices in the field. The Gen II BX-4 packs features and ergonomic enhancements combining world-class optics with advanced ranging technology to keep you target-focused when every second counts.

The BX-4 Range HD Gen 2 was designed as a binocular first, starting with Leupold’s Elite Optical System that delivers superior light transmission from dawn to dusk, excellent glare reduction, and edge-to-edge clarity. These scratch-resistant lenses provide high-definition, natural color without any blue tint and sharp contrast under the most exacting conditions.

Leupold put a lot of thought into ergonomics when developing the BX-4 Range HD Gen II. The binoculars feature interchangeable form-fit eyecups allowing adjustments for a more comfortable fit, especially for long periods behind the glass.

Leupold even made the power button programmable so it can be reversed for right and left-handed users, offering better, more convenient controls. In addition, buttons are protected via raised standoffs, preventing accidental rangefinder triggering while in the field.

The Leupold BX-4 Range HD Gen II features a powerful and accurate engine that can range reflective targets up to 4,000 yards, trees up to 2,000 yards, and deer-sized targets up to 1,300 yards. This impressive system is also bow hunter-friendly incorporating an Archer’s Advantage bow mode alongside enhanced ranging abilities.

The BX-4 Range HD Gen II is available in two versions, a 10×42 for a wider field of view or a 12×50 for long-range glassing priority. Both are available now with MSRP for the 10×42 set at $1599.99 and the 12×50 set at $1799.99.

I’ve been a Leupold fan for years, running many Mark 4HD and Mark 5HD optics on my rifles today, and have been spoiled by the excellent clarity and overall quality. If you appreciate gear that works as hard as you do without slowing you down, and accuracy you can depend on, the BX-4 Range HD Gen II may be for you.

The BX-4 Range HD Gen II may be a pretty penny, but for the serious hunter, they may be a great way to consolidate a few pieces of kit and enhance your next outing. What do you guys think of the Leupold BX-4 Range HD Gen II? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
