Jacob Grey Firearms Unveils The New TWC Black
Jacob Grey Firearms just announced the launch of the TWC Black, the newest addition to the company’s double-stack 9mm 2011-style handguns. Building upon the foundation of the original, the Black model is the company’s response to customer feedback on the TWC 9, introducing key features designed to drive performance and enhance the shooting experience at all levels. We’re always off to a great start when manufacturers demonstrate that they actually listen to their customers.
Framing things
The Jacob Grey TWC Black features a CNC-machined aircraft grade 7075 aluminum frame, grip module, beaver tail, and one-piece hard coat anodized black skeletonized trigger. The TWC Black also includes a tool-less guide rod for simplified disassembly and maintenance, enhanced 360-degree grip texture for greater control even under challenging conditions, and a reshaped double undercut trigger guard offering increased compatibility with existing 2011 holsters. Rounding out the bottom half we have a Picatinny accessory rail on a full-length dust cover with a flared magwell for smooth high-speed reloads.
Topside
This latest TWC features a black stainless steel slide with a matching 416R black nitrided 4.25” bull barrel for a sleek tactical aesthetic. The slide has attractive large diamond-pattern serrations on the front and rear and arrives optics-ready including C&H Precision adapter plates for the RMR, RMSc, Acro, and Deltapoint. Suppressor height irons come standard blacked-out and serrated in the rear with XS Sights tritium high contrast up front.
“The TWC Black represents our commitment to continuous innovation… We listened to our customers and integrated their feedback into this model, resulting in a firearm that not only performs at the highest level but also meets the demands of real-world use,” said Todd Neice, President of Jacob Grey Firearms.
The TWC Black ships with two 17-round magazines and weighs 30 ounces unloaded. The pistol is available for purchase through authorized dealers and on the Jacob Grey Firearms website with an MSRP of $2999.99.
Jacob Grey Firearms is no stranger to precise machining and stringent quality control as the Prosperity, South Carolina company’s origins hail from OEM aerospace manufacturing. The TWC Black is expensive, however, initial impressions have been positive from fit and finish to recoil mitigation, reliability, and impressive accuracy. This is one I look forward to getting a more in-depth hands-on experience with.
