Introducing Beretta’s Ultimate Hypergun – The SL2

Merging Beretta’s expertise in clay target shooting with real-world professional experience from international shooters and Pietro Beretta custom shop craftsmanship, Beretta announces its ultimate hypergun, the SL2. Beretta promises the combination of cutting-edge design and innovative technology in the SL2 results in a shotgun engineered for victory.

Cutting-edge reduced lines of the receiver allow a wider view of the target enhanced by an anti-glare texture. Blending seamlessly into the lines of the stock is not only aesthetically sleek but also provides greater visibility on clays with lateral trajectories. The Beretta SL2 features Grade 4 Hand-Selected Walnut Wood, prized for quality and remarkable grain pattern. The grip and forend are intricately hand-checkered, providing a superior grip and enhancing the SL2’s performance and elegance. Exemplary craftsmanship makes the SL2 both elevated for the course and visually beautiful.

The SL2 is the first shotgun to feature the advanced Steelium Pro X barrels, offering unparalleled performance. The barrels are equipped with longer choking for a smoother shooting experience. The 90mm Optimachoke XP chokes are 20mm longer than the 70mm Optimachoke HP chokes used in previous Steelium barrels. The cylinder of the OCXP chokes has been modified from that of the OCHP chokes, ensuring they cannot be interchanged with Steelium Pro X barrels both for safety and to prevent incorrect assembly.

The SL2 incorporates a modified Beretta SO10 Locking System, featuring a locking lug that aligns with the hinge pin height while the monobloc base engages with a slot carved into the base of the action. The trigger group on the SL2 is detachable and replaceable on the fly, similar to the legendary DT11, and features leaf springs, guaranteeing a clean and consistent trigger pull. A carbon fiber trigger group is available as a separate option that can be swapped with the standard steel trigger group.

The SL2 will ship in a case you can customize upon ordering, selecting external and internal fabric, stitch color, hardware, and additional personalized details that a gunsmith will walk you through.

Beretta has not listed pricing yet for the SL2, but they encourage anybody who wants one to join the   waitlist on the company’s website. The SL2 will be available in three models, trap, skeet, and sporting, with specs for each below.
