[IDEX 2025] New P24 Pistols From Slovakia Are Coming To The US

[IDEX 2025] New P24 Pistols From Slovakia Are Coming To The US

Last year, at the IWA 2024, Slovakian company Grand Power presented its new pistol line for the first time, and TFB TV made a video about it. At the IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi, the company showcased a new version of this handgun and shared some news about its plans for the US market.

IDEX 2025 @ TFB:

Grand Power has long been manufacturing pistols. Their K100 is quite popular in Europe and was reviewed by TFB 10 years ago. The company also makes various rifles and a submachinegun called Stribog. Recently, it started manufacturing a heavy machine gun called TG vz. 16, which is essentially an improved Soviet DSHK.

The P24 is radically different from the pistols the company previously produced. While the K100 has a DAO/SAO trigger mechanism and rotating barrel, the P24 is a striker-fired handgun with a more conventional Browning link-less locking system, with the barrel locking into the ejection port. So, what makes it different from other pistols?

P24 uses a standard double-stack Glock magazine

To me, it wasn’t obvious until I had a chance to actually handle it. The pistol is so slim it feels like a Glock 48 with a better trigger. It is extremely thin, making it easier to carry. But unlike Glock 48, it still uses standard Glock mags.

I was a bit shocked when I realized that. To me, Glock 48 and 43X were true game changers, but somehow Grand Power made a pistol that feels just as slim and uses standard double-stack Glock mags.

At the IDEX expo, the company presented a new version of the pistol with a threaded barrel. Personally, I would like to see the compact version of the P24, which makes sense considering the pistol’s slim profile.

For now, only a full-size version of the pistol is available

According to Jaroslav Kuracina, the founder and owner of Grand Power, P24 is now undergoing the ATF approval process and should be available in the US soon.
