Cowboys, Take Notice: Henry Supreme Is Finally On The Market

It’s been a bit of a wait, but one of the most-anticipated lever-action rifles in years is finally on the market. The new Henry Supreme is finally ready for orders and is listed on Henry’s website.

A SHOT Show hit

The Henry Supreme broke cover at the SHOT Show in 2024, offering a modern lever-action design with a free-floated barrel, adjustable trigger and a trick design that allows the rifles to feed from an AR-pattern magazine instead of a tube mag, as is customary with lever guns, or a proprietary box mag, which is how competing designs like the Browning BLR work.

In a world awash with AR magazines, the idea of a lever gun in .223 or 300 BLK with the capability to re-cycle mags that the buyer already owns, or can purchase for cheap, is very appealing. Instead of paying big bucks for a pricey 5-round mag, Henry Supreme shooters can use a P-MAG, Lancer or similar (the rifle ships with a 10-rounder). They can also attach a suppressor, thanks to a threaded barrel, as you can see below.

The test rifles (see below) at SHOT Show’s Range Day in 2024 were a hot ticket—literally, as they were firing almost non-stop whenever I walked by, with the barrels heated up to a scorching temperature.

Leaving aside the aesthetics of the Henry Supreme, some shooters might prefer competing designs that come with a more tacticool layout, with rails on the forend. More traditionally-minded shooters might prefer the look of the Henry (walnut stock, anodized receiver, blued barrel), and the fact that it has a tang safety in the same position as a traditional hammer.

In our initial write-up, we expected the Henry Supreme to hit the market in Q2 of 2024 at an MSRP of around $1,200. Now, Henry finally got it out in Q1 of 2025 and is asking an MSRP of $1,299 in either .223 or 300 BLK, both with a 16.5-inch barrel. See more details here.
