Griffin Armament Announces New Adjustable 2-Stage AR-15 Trigger

Griffin Armament has released its first proprietary trigger for the AR-15 platform, a Milazzo Kreiger-style adjustable 2-stage trigger. Milazzo Krieger refers to a type of two-stage trigger design commonly used in AR-15s that are particularly popular for competitive shooting and characterized by a light first stage followed by a heavier second stage with a crisp break for precise control and shot placement

This new Griffin Armament 2-stage trigger comes pre-adjusted from the factory and includes the Allen wrench necessary to easily set the overtravel and disconnector engagement, allowing end users to refine the feel if the standard adjustment isn’t perfectly suited or if their lower receiver is toleranced differently. Each system ships with two trigger springs, a standard 4.5 lbs and an optional increased 5.5 lbs, and a pair of dimpled trigger pins to aid in removal and installation without marring your rifle’s finish.

Construction features an 8620 case-hardened trigger with a black oxide finish, a 440C stainless tool steel disconnector, and a nickel Teflon-coated 440C lightened speed hammer.

“One of the ideal concepts in providing a product to a customer is to solve a problem while offering a strong value. We try to put ourselves in the shoes of a customer with perhaps several rifles and a dream to accomplish certain objectives in an affordable manner, because at our core, we have been and often are those customers ourselves. It would be cool, for example, if the world could solve certain problems like how to make an incredibly accurate barrel for an affordable price, because projects like that demonstrate the objective of engineering – to use intelligent solutions to solve problems in an efficient way. We’re human, so we may fail to meet that objective in every instance, and the industry can really beat you up, but I try to remember President Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” speech, and things like the SAS motto: Who Dares, Wins,” says Austin Green, Co-Owner & Head of Product Development at Griffin Armament.

The Griffin Armament 2-stage adjustable AR-15 trigger is available now on the company’s website for an MSRP of $99.95.

I’ve shot so many triggers over the years that I’m comfortable with just about anything, but I am grateful for a well-made trigger, and if I’m offered a choice, I’ll always select a 2-stage. Griffin Armament seems intent on getting products into the hands of as many shooters as possible by appealing to a broad spectrum of budgets while offering features and quality we can appreciate and afford. I’m looking forward to trying this one. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
