SIG SAUER Releases The CROSS SAWTOOTH Short Action
SIG SAUER and PROOF Research have teamed up again on the CROSS SAWTOOTH line of bolt-action rifles, expanding to include popular short-action calibers, .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor. The collaborative goal is to deliver lightweight performance while providing precision and increased versatility to this proven high-country hunting rifle.
The new SIG SAUER CROSS SAWTOOTH Short Action featuring a PROOF Research carbon fiber barrel will be available in 6.5CM, offering shooters the choice of either an 18” or 24” barrel, while the .308 model will come standard in a 16” variant. Each rifle will ship SUB-1 MOA certified with its test target in the box.
Standard features found on all CROSS SAWTOOTH models include a precision adjustable ultra-light folding stock, a lightweight free-floating M-LOK forend with dual slings points, and a stainless-steel heavy profile radial muzzle brake reducing felt recoil by up to 45%. Additionally, each CROSS SAWTOOTH is furnished with a 2-stage match trigger that is adjustable between 2.5-4 lbs, a 20-MOA Picatinny optics rail, and the rifle is Cerakoted in a moss green finish.
The 16” .308 and 18” 6.5CM both weigh in at an impressive 6.6 lbs, while the 24” 6.5CM steps up to 7.2 lbs. All models will ship with a standard 5-round magazine.
