New Faxon Firearms Low-Profile Adjustable Gas Block
Faxon Firearms have introduced a new adjustable gas block for AR-15 pattern firearms that has a pretty interesting design. The adjustment screw is located on the side of the gas block and when rotated, it moves the gas tube back and forth thus changing the amount of the gas tube hole and gas port overlap. The benefit of this design is that the adjustment screw does not come in contact with the gasses remaining clean and operational without risk of seizing.

The Faxon Low Profile Adjustable Gas Block has 14 detented settings that in extreme positions fully open and fully close the gas port. The adjustment screw can be turned with a 3/32″ Allen key or a flathead screwdriver. This gas block is available for .750” and .625” barrel journal diameters.
The installation is done by inserting the gas tube into the adjustment plate of the gas block and fixing it in place via a roll pin. Then the gas block and gas tube assembly can be installed onto the barrel using the three bottom screws. To make the installation easier, you can 3D print an assembly fixture the STL file of which you can download from the company’s website.
The MSRP of Faxon Firearms Low-Profile Adjustable Gas Block is $80.
