HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Multi-tool or Acting a Fool?

Welcome everyone to the 253rd edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, decided the pistol grip Savage was simply fudd crap.

At this time the original auction has ended with the Savage now re-listed. We can only hope this bench rest pistol will find its way to a new home in the not so distant future.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a Milwaukee themed Glock 21 chambered in .45 ACP. As is tradition, this toolbox ready gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $3,249 Buy It Now.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Multi-tool or Acting a Fool?

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“For that price I’d expect a full standup toolbox to come with it.” – Doug E.“Does DeWalt also make one? I don’t want to keep track of a separate set of batteries.” – Josh C.“Seller won’t be drilled down on price…” – Matt M.

Selling this tool themed gat is GunBroker seller Prolific101, fittingly located in Milwaukee, WI. Let’s see what they had to say about this custom Glock 21.

“Manufacturer: GLOCKModel: G21 Gen4Condition: ExcellentCaliber: .45 ACPAction: Semi-Auto/StrikerBarrel Length: 4.61″Capacity: 15+1Sights: Fixed night sightsAccessory Rail: YesFeatures: Full sized handgun, custom Cerakote finish, custom stippling, finger grooves, rear slide serrations.Inventory: Firearm, (3) 17-rd extended GLOCK branded magazines, Milwaukee Packout case with custom foam insert.• We do not test fire used guns. All guns are function checked once we receive them. Unless stated otherwise, this firearm is functional.• All sales are final. Please communicate any discrepancies with this description and the item prior to purchase. • Returns are not accepted after the transfer process has been submitted or completed.”

This is usually the part of the article where I play devil’s advocate and point out some redeeming qualities about the firearm being featured. With that in mind, it’s a Glock, so at least we know that it works and I guess it comes with a Milwaukee Packout case. Now that the pleasantries are out the way, seriously who decided that a “meh” cerakote job on a Glock 21 was worth north of $3,000?

I don’t care what brand of tools you own, I will quit my job right now and start cerakoting Glocks full time if this somehow manages to sell. This series has featured quite a few custom Glocks over the years, and you’d think at this point we’d seen it all. Yet somehow the internet never ceases to amaze me. I mean if you’re going to go north of $2,000 at least throw in half a dozen mags or fire your cerakote guy. Or hey, maybe it’s just a Milwaukee thing, and I just wouldn’t understand.

What do you think? Is there some world where this is worth $3,249 or are you better off making your own tool-themed Glock? As always I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.

What do you think? Is this Milwaukee themed Glock 21 a Hot Gat or horribly executed Fudd Crap? Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and cast your vote to let us know if this Glock 21 Gen4 Custom is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
