RISE Reliant Hunter, Reliant Pro: Their First Bolt-Action Triggers
RISE Armament has been around for long enough that they’re well-known for their AR triggers as well as fully-assembled AR-pattern rifles and uppers and other components. Now they’re branching out into the world of bolt-actions, with the Reliant Hunter and Reliant Pro triggers.

RISE Reliant Hunter
This will drop right into a Remington 700 action, and it will also fit a 700-style clone action—there are many companies building rifles along the Remington 700 pattern (RISE’s website will help you choose the correct trigger to fit your clone or true Remington action). The Reliant Hunter trigger is curved and comes with external adjustability from 2 to 5 pounds (out of the box, the trigger is pre-set to break at 3.5 pounds). The PR says it’s very easy to dial in the adjustment you want:
“… with Reliant Triggers, you can quickly and easily adjust the pull weight with the included Allen wrench. With each quarter turn of the screw, you’ll feel the patent-pending Posi-Catch detention click into place. This system prevents vibrations, including firing the rifle, from causing the screw to back out and cause unintended pull weight adjustments or safety hazards.”
Allen keys to adjust the trigger are included.
The Reliant Hunter’s internals use RISES’s Heavy-Hit Hardening treatment for long-lasting durability, with NiB-coated steel used for the important parts, so they don’t wear out quickly. Lock time is fast, says RISE, and it’s supposed to be easy to install with its unibody cassette-style design. MSRP is $169.99—see more details here.
RISE Reliant Pro
This has many of the same features as the Reliant Hunter; it comes in slightly different variations for either Remington 700 or clone actions and comes with a curved trigger, but it can also be purchased with a flat trigger. Like the Hunter, this trigger has nickel boron coating on the sear components; RISE used nitride-finished tool steel to make sure the moving parts last, and the housing itself is 6061 aluminum.
Once installed, the trigger can be externally adjusted for both pull weight and overtravel. It can be set to break in the 1-3 pound range, pre-set to break at 2 pounds. The adjustment process is similar to the Hunter, coming with the tools needed for adjustment.
RISE says these new triggers have a patent-pending design that reduces the chance of a shot being accidentally fired, not just exceeding SAAMI’s safety standards for triggers, but also outperforming other Remington 700-platform triggers.
The Reliant Pro has a $259.99 MSRP and comes with a lifetime guarantee—see more info here.
