TFB Behind the Gun #138: An Interview With Joe from Desk Pop
Most of you will know that platforms like YouTube tend not to be so friendly with channels like TFBTV. While it would be nice if we could be treated equally on the platform, the sad reality is that we often just have to adapt to work around the new rules imposed on us. Moving to a new platform is a nice thought, but unless your entire audience moves with you, it’s a more or less fruitless endeavor. Joe of the YouTube Desk Pop has had a lot of struggles with YouTube and his channel lately and today we’ll discuss some of the ideas he has about how to keep his channel alive on YouTube while dealing with the common trends of demonetization and lack of support on the platform form YouTube itself.

TFB Behind the Gun #138: An Interview With Joe from Desk Pop
Today on the podcast I’ve brought on fellow gun enthusiast and YouTuber Joe from the channel Desk Pop to talk shop about some recent struggles we’ve both noticed in the YouTube gun creator space, as well as some of our most recent projects and favorite firearms. Joe is in the midst of somewhat of a rebranding right now as he, like other people who produce firearms content on YouTube, has seen a significant decline in the revenue generated by each video, as well as a general lack of support from companies who typically benefit from the creator/manufacturer relationship. While YouTube may be pretty harsh when it comes to their demonetization and throttling of YouTube videos related to firearms, Joe is determined to press on anyway he can which is why he’s happy to announce his new YouTube venture “UpShots” which aims to not only provide a new creative outlet for Joe, but also help fund his primary focus on Desk Pop.”We are so back baby, REAL hardcore testing, making content entertaining and not taking ourselves too serious while seriously treating serious operator gear (seriously). Hit the subscribe button and strap in.” Desk Pop On Instagram Desk Pop On YouTube
