Ruger Celebrates Its 75th Anniversary With Commemorative 10/22s
Ruger has been celebrating its birthday with the release of nine 75th Anniversary firearms since the beginning of this year, each representative of the company’s storied past and inspired by iconic Ruger products from each of its three major manufacturing facilities. Two of these commemorative firearms include the already popular and timeless 10/22 Sporters finished in satin stainless with attractive hardwood stock options. In their latest announcement, the company’s Newport, New Hampshire manufacturing facility has released two new 75th Anniversary 10/22 Sporters in black satin, which will ship through the remainder of 2024.
The new 75th Anniversary Commemorative 10/22 Sporters are now available with satin black cold hammer-forged barrels locked into the receiver by a unique, two-screw, V-block system. The included scope base adapter will accommodate Weaver-style and .22 tip-off scope mounts. The Sporters feature polished bolts with engraved 75th Anniversary logos, a prominent, easy-to-use magazine release, and a tactile push-button cross-bolt manual safety. The heat-stabilized, glass-filled, polymer trigger housing assembly is designed to be impact and abrasion-resistant, able to withstand the elements due to improved manufacturing tolerances.
Each 75th Anniversary 10/22 Sporter ships with the familiar detachable 10-round rotary magazine. Just as the previous stainless models, the black satin commemorative rimfire will come in either a walnut-stained or unstained hardwood stock with match-sanded butt pads and front and rear sling swivels. To finish off the presentation, the package comes in a throwback-style 75th Anniversary printed box with a commemorative decal.
This legendary action is a tried and true Ruger design that has provided reliable performance and great memories over the years, with many shooters taking their first steps on the 10/22. True to tradition, the 75th Anniversary 10/22 Sporters provide high-value at modest prices, with an MSRP of $379.
