They Finally Did It: KelTec Sub2000 in 5.7×28

KelTec’s venerable Sub2000 has a new caliber, the 5.7×28! This is the first bottleneck cartridge to be chambered in the Sub2000 family. This is also a Gen 3 model, which folds like all of the other Sub200 models but also has a rotating front end to allow optics mounting.

The 5.7×28 Sub2000 uses the FN Five-Seven magazine pattern, so it is compatible with a wide range of factory and aftermarket magazines. But unlike many other guns in that caliber, it has a full 16-inch barrel. That will boost muzzle velocity substantially compared to other pistol and PCC models with shorter barrels. The barrel is also threaded 1/2×28 for a muzzle device or silencer.

Not only is the Sub2000 a compact gun in its folded configuration, but it is also lightweight. It weighs in at only 4.36 pounds. The Sub2000 5.7×28 has an MSRP of $511.
