Achtung! B5 Flecktarn Combo Kits For Your AR-15
Remember the Good Old Days Of Army Surplus, when the post-Cold War stuff from Europe was widely available? Remember all that old Flecktarn pattern camo kit from Germany? It was dope stuff, and if you’ve got some of it still around, B5 now had a combo kit to dress up your AR-15 to match.

The latest release from B5 follows the pattern of earlier camo-finish releases. But this time, instead of boring old woodland camo, black or Multicam finishes, you can get a Flecktarn hydro-dipped finish that looks like you should be bombing around in the turret of a Leopard tank on a mid-1990s peacekeeping operation (Flecktarn R&D started in West Germany in the 1970s, but wasn’t common in the military until the Berlin Wall fell and East and West united).
Although the supply of German mil-surp has dried up a bit in recent years, this stuff was very common in the days of the early GWOT, and lots of Americans outfitted themselves in high-quality Flecktarn pattern kit from Sportsman’s Guide or similar surplus stores over the years.
According to B5’s PR, “Flecktarn originated in Germany to provide concealment in wooded terrain, consisting of 5 colors in a spot (fleck) type camouflage (tarn) pattern. While Flecktarn is still in use with the German military, it has developed a strong following among American shooting and outdoor enthusiasts. B5 Systems is proud to pay tribute to an effective and timeless camouflage pattern and have partnered with Edgar Sherman Designs to make this pattern available in firearms accessories.”
The combo deals include a B5’s Bravo Stock (“our compact, lightest, and strongest buttstock,” says their website) paired with their popular P-Grip 23 or P-Grip 22. Of course, these are made to fit AR-pattern rifles, but if you’re shooting something else that can use stocks and grips made for the AR, you should be able to fit these parts. The asking price is $109, and they’ll throw in a hat to sweeten the deal.
B5 also has their Enhanced Sopmod Stock, including dual water-resistant storage compartments, paired with the PGrip 23 or P-Grip 22 for another combo deal. This combo will cost you $148. You can also add on an M-LOK vertical grip attachment with Flecktarn finish for another $29. See more details here.
